Prime Minister announces potential RM1 billion AGIBOT investment

The Chinese humanoid maker could invest up to RM1 billion in Malaysia by 2035, creating around 5,000 jobs.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced on 23 September 2026 that AGIBOT could invest up to RM1 billion in Malaysia by 2035, with around 5,000 jobs including in humanoid robotics.

AGIBOT, the largest humanoid shipper in 2025 according to Omdia, opened its first overseas AI World Experience Centre at i-City in Shah Alam in January 2026.
