A national platform for embodied intelligence
MEIHA brings together industry, researchers, educators, technology developers, system integrators and public sector stakeholders to advance embodied AI and humanoid robotics in Malaysia.
Who we are
The industry association for embodied AI and humanoid robotics in Malaysia.
Artificial intelligence is moving off the screen and into machines that see, move and work alongside people. Humanoid robots, mobile manipulators and other embodied systems are leaving research labs for factories, warehouses, hospitals and farms.
MEIHA gives Malaysia a single platform to take part in that shift. We connect the people who research these technologies, the companies that build and integrate them, the organisations that will use them, and the institutions that train the workforce and set policy.
Our focus is practical: real deployments, Malaysian capability, and adoption that is safe and responsible.
Vision & mission
Vision
Malaysia as a leading ASEAN hub for embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics.
To establish Malaysia as a leading ASEAN hub for embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics, recognised for innovation, skilled talent, responsible adoption and practical deployment.
Mission

Principles
How we work
Deployment over demos
We judge progress by robots doing useful work in real Malaysian settings.
Safety first
Safe, ethical and trustworthy systems are a condition of adoption, not an afterthought.
Neutral and collaborative
A vendor-neutral platform where competitors, researchers and government can work together.
Malaysian capability
We favour outcomes that build local skills, supply chains and companies.
Leadership
Leadership
Executive Council. The inaugural office bearers will be announced here.
Governance
Member-led governance
MEIHA is governed by its members through an elected Executive Council, with working groups carrying out technical and programme work.
National alignment
Working toward Malaysia's national goals
National AI Office
Launched under the Digital Ministry to coordinate national AI policy, regulation and adoption.
National Semiconductor Strategy
At least RM25 billion in fiscal support, a goal to attract RM500 billion of investment and to train or upskill 60,000 high-skilled engineers, building Malaysian chip design and advanced packaging firms.
New Industrial Master Plan 2030
Mission-based industrial plan targeting manufacturing value-added of RM587.5 billion, 3.3 million jobs and 3,000 smart factories. 93 smart factories had been recognised by June 2026.
National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation 2021–2030
Sets national direction for science, technology and innovation, including a target of 3.5% of GDP for R&D spending by 2030.
National Robotics Roadmap 2021–2030
Aims to make Malaysia a regional robotics hub in services, agriculture and manufacturing by 2030, raising robot density from 55 to 195 per 10,000 workers, through 5 strategic thrusts, 19 strategies and 24 initiatives.
