FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to build humanoid robots to join?
No. MEIHA covers the whole field of embodied AI: humanoids, mobile robots, manipulators, AI software, components, integration and end use. Companies that plan to adopt robots are especially welcome.
Can foreign companies join?
Yes. Organisations based outside Malaysia with an interest in the Malaysian market or in collaborating with Malaysian partners can apply.
Which category suits a university research group?
Institutional membership covers the university or institute. Individual researchers can also join as Professional Members.
How do working groups operate?
Each working group is led by a chair from the membership, meets regularly, and produces outputs such as position papers, use-case libraries, events and project proposals.
Is MEIHA a government body?
No. MEIHA is an independent, member-led association. It works with government agencies to support national goals for robotics and AI.
