Deputy minister asks MARii to study humanoid supply roles for auto vendors

Malaysia’s roughly 730 automotive vendors share technology with humanoid robots, the deputy minister said.

Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Sim Tze Tzin asked the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) to study how Malaysia’s roughly 730 automotive vendors could enter the humanoid robot supply chain.

He noted the technological overlap between car parts and humanoid components such as motors, gears and wiring. No formal programme exists yet.
